What Is an Outdoor Water Filter?
An outdoor water filter is also called a whole-house water filter or point-of-entry (POE) filter. It's a filtration system connected directly to your home's main water supply pipe, installed outside the house at the mains inlet.
This means every drop of water entering your home from every bathroom tap, kitchen faucet, shower head, and washing machine has already been filtered. You get cleaner water throughout the entire house, not just at one point.

An outdoor water filter (POE filter) treats all water entering your home, including water used for bathing, laundry, and cleaning. An indoor water purifier treats drinking water at a single point using additional stages such as reverse osmosis (RO) or activated carbon for higher purity. For best results, use both: an outdoor filter for whole-house protection and an indoor purifier for drinking water.
How often do I need to service an outdoor water filter?
